Types of Classes

Gentle Yoga

This class is about building a solid foundation in basic yoga poses and is appropriate for those who are new to yoga as well as students that are working on refining their core poses. The class puts emphasis on developing strength and flexibility, proper breathing, relaxing and de-stressing. Pose modifications are demonstrated and encouraged. Enjoy the gentle stretches, and traditional yoga poses in a non-competitive environment. Everyone is encouraged to practice within their own abilities and explore the benefits of a yoga practice in your life.

Yoga & Mindfulness 

Introduction to yoga explores the building blocks of yoga including lifestyle, postures, breathing techniques, mindfulness, and meditation techniques. Appropriate for the brand new student or anyone interested in tuning up their fundamentals and practice meditation together.

Energizing Yoga 

This class incorporates elements of Kundalini Yoga, Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga and Meditation.  Come experience the magical energy of Tijen Genco!

Mixed Level Yoga

Flow through your practice while working on poses. This class accommodates a wide range of experience levels from beginner to students that have practiced for a long period of time. The class works on a balance between strength and flexibility while building endurance and improving your breathing and posture. This is a medium-paced Vinyasa flow yoga class appropriate for several levels of student ability and experience.

Lunchtime Yoga Express

Lunch time yoga is a shortened class (45 minutes) to fit in your day.  It is designed to help individuals relieve the stress of the day. It energizes them with gentle stretching and breathing practices providing them with the increased energy and productivity for the balance of their day.  Lunch time yoga is a mixed level Vinyasa class appropriate for all levels.

Circuit Training

Personal Trainer, Tracy Bray will combine strength and resistance work with the flow of a cardio class.  Small group makes for personal attention and personalized workouts.

Yoga Nidra

Yoga Nidra is translated as yogic sleep. Simply described it’s effortless relaxation. This very relaxing practice cultivates a deep rejuvenation for the mind and body. We will begin with gentle poses to warm up and open the body followed by pranayama. Through the sound of my voice, I will then lead you through a guided meditation. This is where your mind and body rest in a meditative state that exists between waking and sleeping allowing you to access deeper parts of yourself resulting in restorative and healing benefits.

Yin Yoga

A more meditative approach to yoga, Yin aims at cultivating awareness of one’s inner silence, and bringing to light a universal, interconnecting quality.  It is a slow-paced style of yoga with poses or asanas that are held for longer periods of time—five minutes or longer per pose is typical.

Meditation for Stress Reduction

This is a meditation class suitable to all levels.  Instruction will be given in various techniques and styles of meditation and a guided meditation will be offered.

Restorative Yoga

Allow yourself to feel renewed and restored by this gentle and supported practice.  Restorative yoga is a gentle, calming, therapeutic kind of yoga that uses props to support the body as it eases into relaxation and balance. All levels welcome including students working with injury, or sensitivity.


Social Skills & Spirited Yoga

This Yoga class is designed for Spirited Kids! Yoga is a wonderful tool for kids with ADHD, or any child with energy to be channeled!

Teen Yoga

Teens and Young Adults  benefit from the practice of yoga.  Yoga and meditation practice is helpful for anxiety and stress reduction, relaxation and better sleep. Maximum of 5 Yogis per class.
