Rebecca began practicing yoga in 2010 as a way of coping with the stress of graduate school. As she continued to deepen her practice, she found herself craving more and more yoga. As a sociology major, Rebecca has always been fascinated by the way human beings relate to each other, to society, to the world, to a higher power, and of course how we relate to ourselves. Rebecca found the yoga practice to be a similar discipline and appreciates the focus on connection: the physical movement and breathing connecting with the mental/emotional practice through the heart. As she continued to deepen her practice, she began to notice a dramatic shift. The impact that yoga has had on Rebecca’s life led her to want to share this gift with others. In 2014, Rebecca completed Yogasphere’s 200-Hour Teacher Training. Rebecca is honored to have an opportunity to share her love of yoga with the Newtown Therapy & Wellness community.
