stacyand david2Founded by Stacy & David Hunt, Newtown Yoga is an intimate yoga studio adjacent to Newtown Therapy & Wellness Center in Newtown Borough. David is a 200-Hour Certified Yoga Teacher through the Always at Aum Yoga School, and Stacy was trained as as dancer at School of American Ballet, now a Clinical Psychologist, Certified Spinning Instructor, and an avid yogi!  Together, they created a studio where yoga serves not only as a form of fitness, but also as an integral part of a wellness plan.  We promote regular yoga practice for anyone who might want to experience the stress reducing, relaxing and centering benefits of yoga.  Newtown Yoga is a studio that feels safe, welcoming and non-judgmental for any level of student, especially those newest and possibly nervous about stepping foot into a yoga studio.

David & Stacy have gathered a wonderful group of seasoned and caring instructors who share the vision of yoga for mental health and life balance as well as for exercise.  Founded in September 2014, Newtown Yoga is a special place to practice yoga.  Yogis are attended to and instructed as only can be in such an intimate setting.

Regular meditation practice can be beneficial for relieving pain, anxiety and stress. Many forms of meditation evolved from ancient religious and spiritual traditions.  Meditation techniques aim to train attention and awareness to help bring thoughts under control.  As with meditation, studies find that regularly doing downward dogs and warrior poses can help manage stress and anxiety as well.   We have many varieties of yoga, meditation and mindfulness classes aimed to suit your level and needs.  The studio offers Introduction to Yoga and Mindfulness all the way to Mixed Level and Eclectic Yoga.  There is a place for everyone in our yoga or meditation classes. Come see what we are all about.
